TURKEY SEASON 2012
Buster Holdbrooks
Buster was hunting on our hunt
club when this tom came gobbling
in. His tom weighed 20 lbs and had a
9 inch beard. Not bad for an opening
day hunt. Congratulation Buster!!
Your Host
I was with my son BJ on some private
land when this tom came strutting in to BJ's
calls. The tom never gobbled but it was still an
awesome father and son hunt. I took the shot and
the tom fell to the ground. He weighed 20 lbs with
a 91/2 inch beard, amazingly there were no spurs
on this tom. My guess it was born with a gene
defect. I want to take the time to thank BJ
for helping me have a successful hunt.
We had a great time together, I can't
wait to do it again.
BJ Holliday
BJ was at Ricks land, a friend of his
from where he works, when he called in this
nice tom strutting and gobbling to his gun. The tom
weighed 18 1/2 lbs. with a 10 1/2 inch beard.Good
job BJ! Now call me in another long beard :)>---

Buster said he took this jake to cook in the
smoker for our next club meeting. It weighed
13 1/2 lbs with a 6 inch beard Thanks for the
picture and congratulations on your hunt
Buster. I can't wait to have some
smoked turkey breast.
Keven Davis
I was hunting with Keven on their land
when I called in this jake for Keven. His
bird weighed 13 1/2 lbs. with a 61/2 beard.
It was a fun hunt and I was glad to help Keven
get his first bird of the season. Congratulations
Keven and thanks for taking me hunting.

I was with my son on some Private land he has
when we called in these 3 jakes. Bj waited till I took
one before he shot and took 2 with one shot. We
had a great time that morning. Just another
great father and son hunt. The jakes
weighed 13, 14 1/2 , and 15 lbs. with
41/2, 5 and 6 inch beards.
BJ Holliday
BJ was hunting on some private land
when he put out a decoy and made a call.
He immediately heard gobbles and set up. A
big tom came strutting out about 12 yards, he
took the shot and looked up to see this jake landing
a few yards back. As you can see he got them both.
He said it all happened in about ten minutes. The
tom weighed 22 1/4 lbs. with an 11 1/2 inch beard
and the jake weighed 13 lbs with 2 beards You
gotta love it! Great job BJ! Now will you
please call me in another.
YOUTH HUNTS
Bryson Hunter Holliday
On Youth Day my son BJ and I took
his son Bryson, my Grandson hunting on
my hunting club. We set up a big pop up blind
and put out some decoys on a food plot planted
in clover. I was filming the hunt while BJ did the
calling. It did not take BJ long , he had a jake
come in gobbling to the decoys. Bryson got
the Circuit Judge 410 shotgun up and ready
for his shot. We were so proud of Bryson,
he took his time before pulling the trigger
and at six years old that is hard to do.
Good job Bryson on your first every
turkey hunt, we love you.
Auston Davis
I took Auston hunting on the club where
I hunt and we set a decoy on a road bed food
plot. We were not there very long when I called in
this nice jake that was almost a gobbler, his fan looks
almost full which would indicate it being an adult tom.
Auston shot the bird and then had to chase him down.
Auston's jake weighed 14 lbs, with a 61/2 inch beard.
For Auston first turkey, it was an exciting hunt. I
captured some of the hunt on video. I want to
thank Auston and congratulate him on his
first turkey. Hope to do it again soon.
